Library: April 6-10

Day 1: Easter!

Hello Everyone, I hope you all are hanging in there, and staying safe at home. Please do feel free to reach out to me or schedule a Zoom appointment if you or your child would like to chat about books or let me know how your library lessons are going. I've loved the photos and feedback you've shared so far!

Directions:
  1. Preview How to Catch the Easter Bunny. Identify the letters, fiction or nonfiction, and do any breathing exercises.
  2. Read the Easter Bunny's Assistant  (or another Easter book of your choice!/preview Easter books in Epic!)
  3. Create a simple German Easter Egg Tree! I have a YouTube tutorial to help ex[pain the process. You'll need the following supplies:
    1. Vase (or cup)
    2. 5-10 (or more sticks) to fit into the vase.
    3. Crayons/markers/paint/colored pencils (any will do!)
    4. Scissors + tape or glue
    5. Thread/string/ribbon

Day 2

Directions:
  1. Preview How to Catch the Easter Bunny. Identify the letters, fiction or nonfiction, and do any breathing exercises.
  2. Read the book along with Mrs. Echols in the video below!
  3. Discuss, how would you capture the Easter Bunny?
  4. Make an I-Spy bottle using the linked tutorial! (this is a great way to round up and use random objects that end up in couch cushions or in catch-all dishes!)

Create an I-spy bottle! Use a spare clear bottle or container and fill it with small items you have at home - beans, legos, rice, sand, beads, etc. #digitalresources #childrensactivities #reuse
