Change the audience in Sora by applying a preference from the Explore page.
1. Sora works on web browsers, tablets, and smartphones. Access Sora in the links below:
  • Sora in a web browser: https://soraapp.com/home
  • Sora in the Apple App store:  https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sora-by-overdrive/id1376592326

  • Either tap "Find My School" to look up the St. Francis School. Our zip code is 78752.
  • Or tap the blue link on the bottom that says, "I have a set up code." Our set up code is: STFSTX.

3. Login with your SFS email address (first initial + last name @stfrancis-school.org)  and password.
  • Sora is linked via Google SSO,  so you can click through with your SFS Google login.
  • Ask your teacher if you need help remembering these.

4. Browse the "Explore" to enjoy books anytime, anywhere! Tap on a book to learn more about it, and check it out.
  • Please keep in mind that our collection is for all ages, from PK-adult. Ensure that you're selecting books that align with your family values and culture.
  • Students may check out 4 books at a time for a loan period of 2 weeks. Learn how to early return and renew.

5. Close the book and go to your "Shelf" to see all your books.  From there, you can:
  • Click or tap "Open Book" or "Open Audiobook" to read or listen to the book.
  • Click or tap "Options" to renew or return the book, access your notes and highlights, and more.
  • Check out the "Me" tab to see your award badges!

If you need more help with Sora, please visit Sora Help  or reach out to Mrs. Echols in Jupiter or through the form below.

Change Audience Access Level
On the Sora Explore page you can apply a preference to limit the collection by audiences: Juvenile (grades PK-6), Young Adult (grades 7+), or General Adult. Once you apply a preference, it will stay on this setting until you change it.

Link to your Public Library Account:
Sora allows seamless access to your public library's collection! Expand your selection by learning how to link your public library account. Here's more information about getting a public library card.

Accessibility Options:
Additionally, you can learn about reading settings, as well as accessibility features such as how to set Open Dyslexic Font, enable high-contrast mode and use text to speech apps.
