In Lower Middle School library specials we focus on encouraging self-selected reading, which means we encourage students to read for pleasure by offering a variety of styles, formats and genres of reading materials. As you can see, reading 20 minutes a day not only enhances test scores, but can provide an essential window to other worlds and experiences during these difficult times.
